Council Optometric Center in Wellsville, NY is managed by Steve Cronk, NYS License Ophthalmic Dispenser with over 25 years experience.






Terry Lounsberry, Ophthalmic Assistant, has been with Council Optometric Center for over 20 years. Terry provides excellent patient care and follow up.

Laura Manners has been with Council Optometric Center since 2000 and has worked in both our Olean and Wellsville offices as an Ophthalmic Assistant. She currently volunteers at our Wellsville office part time.






James Wilmarth, OD
Dr. Wilmarth graduated on the Dean's list from Penn State in 1983 with a B.S. in Microbiology and as part of the Army ROTC. He continued on to graduate school at Pennsylvania College of Optometry and graduated with his Doctorate of Optometry in 1988.
He practiced optometry in solo practice from 1988 - 1997 in Hershey, PA before joining the Hershey Medical Center's Department of Ophthalmology. He continued his education at Penn State College of Medicine and obtain a M.S. degree in 2005.
We are proud to have Dr. Wilmarth join Council Optometric Center in our Wellsville, NY office in September, 2011 after relocating to the area.
