Dear Sir or Madam:

Please accept this letter as an addendum to the "PATIENT SATISFACTION SURVEY" you sent to me to complete regarding my recent vision care appointment.

The reason this came about was because one of our cats decided a good place to sleep was my night stand and was bopped as I was attempting to hit the snooze alarm. Evidentially, as he leaped off the night stand, my glasses went as well and as I got out of bed and stood up, I heard a crunch sound. I have to wear my glasses all the time so I was in a panic. Past practice had been to discard old pairs into the Lion's Club receptacle for the blind. Therefore, I did not have a spare, my husband found an old pair of reading glassses that made me look like a hoot owl.

I called Morgan Optical, which is where I have been going for years and for one reason, Dr. Stuart Cresson, however, he had left the area. I already knew that, but called anyway figuring whoever was there would be fine and with my records being there, etc. there would be no problem. I did call Davis Vision first (was not aware until now there was a web site) and was told to go ahead and get an exam and new pair. I called Morgan and told them what had happened. They said no one was available to tak a look at them let alone repair unless I was to drive to Bradford. And "maybe they could do something". As for the exam, etc. I had to call two other doctors in the area, which were taking their patients. I asked about Davis coverage and was told they did not know. But I could make an appointment in Bradford.

Needless to say, I was not happy. I told my husband and he said others in the plan used Council Optometric Center. I called and was told to "come right down". I thought, they must be desperate for business to be so eager, but there were quite a few people inthe waiting area and I figured I was in for a long wait. Wrong again, shortly after arrival, I was escorted to a table and the technician (I did not get his name) looked at my glasses and told me he wasn't real sure they could be repaired due to the type of frames they were and what was broken. But said they would try. I was taken to the reception desk to make an appointment, which I did, for the NEXT day. Later, they called telling me my glasses had been repaired. I picked them up, they were great, and I was thrilled. The technician was still concerned, so told me to keep the "hoot owl pair" just in case.

The next day, I had my appoinment. The wait was not bad and Dr. Howard seemed very knowledgeable, proficient and friendly. The technician helped me choose the frames and what a selection. It was great! At Morgan, they only had a few pairs in a box. The ones at Council were on a regular display and there were so many to choose from, ti took a few minutes to decide. About a week or so later, my new glasses were in and they are fine. The technician took great delight in donating the "hoot owl pair" to the blind and told me to hand onto the others, "just in case".

I am extremely pleased and satisfied with the service, expediency, and professional manner in which I was treated. I also appreciated the fact I was not made to feel I was some charity case, because I had Davis Vision. The whole experience was wonderful and I plan on continuing with Council Optometric and my husband has an appointment today.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Marianne Mogon

Dear Mr. Cronk,

This morning you repaired my frame and did not charge me. I want to thank you for your kind generosity.

It is refreshing and reassuring to meet someone like you. May our God, who can not be out done in generosity, bless you and your business a hundred fold.

You WILL see me when I am due for new glasses.

Gratefully,
